I have a road test coming up in a few days at Lynn Armory. It will be great if you can share your test experiences. I am not familiar with Lynn roads but I do plan to practice in the Lynn rmv area before my test. Please share any information you have, routes, instructors etc. Thank you so much!! |

I've taken my road test there a little over 10 yrs ago. From what I recall people were suggesting taking the test elsewhere, since Lynn was supposedly tough. Worked out fine for me though. |

I've had my test at Lynn slightly more than one year ago. The tester was all business and no jokes. You are not supposed to communicate with your instructor during the test. Before you drive, the tester will ask you to demonstrate that your lights, brakes, etc. are working, and you know your hand signals. The actual test route is short, but does consists of 3-point turn, parallel parking, etc. Just be aware of stop-signs, and before you turn to merge into the main road, be aware of traffic. But the historic passing rate is among the highest. |

There are no tricks or tips to passing a road test except to know the rules, drive safely which means not too fast, pay attention and basically be a safe driver that can demonstrate that they are ready to be handed a license to operate a deadly weapon. |

Please help. I'm writing this as a sort of thank you to all of the other people who put info out there about the test. I just took mine today. It was a quick test, 20 minutes or so. We drove basically around the block behind the armory. There was a parallel park and a 3 point turn. I'm pretty sure everyone had the same type of test because I got to watch a couple people before I did mine, you know the start up when they ask you to test your lights and your arm signals. I really didn't know this part of Lynn too much either. Lots of small streets and stop signs, four way stops ect. Pay attention. They are looking for you to look before you go. Signaling always is a must especially when you are pulling to the side of the road look in your blind spots before you go. If you cannot control your car you will fail. If you hit the curb while parrallel parking you will fail unless you can redeem yourself with the three point turn and follow all commands on a drop of the dime. There will most likely be a guy and a girl there testing people. The guy was rough on me and shouted out commands so fast it was hard to keep track, keep in mind I was nervous as expected of new drivers. The girl was a bit abrasive, she practically ate me alive for not having a road test form printed out. She started to lecture me about the number one rule is being prepared. No one said bring a form. My boyfriend and I even did a search of what we should bring and figured the form supplied online was simply for scheduling a test not to bring with you! Save yourself the mauling and arrive with the form filled out. Your sponser will need to sign and bring their id and the vechicle registration. They may have forms for you but no pens, be forewarned, no one mentioned that I would have to run down the street to shaws last minute. Anyways I digress. Arrive early, they will take you early. Park out front as soon as you see a spot because they don't last long. The test should be simple if you can follow the rules, look and signal before you go and drive slow during the rain. Last warning as no one warned me about this: when they ask you to parallel park do not, I repeat DO NOT look in your mirrors, look behind you and know where your wheel is so you can make the proper next move. If you continue to look in your side mirrors the guy will block them, you have been warned. I hope you don't get the guy as he was sort of condescending, he shouted out orders pretty fast. Try for the girl, even though she almost mauled me she seemed pleasant toward her drivers and at least introduced herself. The reviews I read about the testers are head on, check yelp to see what i mean, I just wish I had this much heads up. Please let me know how you did. It would make me happy to know I've helped others. good luck on your test, I hope my reviews helps you and others out there. |

If you are on a hill you have have to turn your wheels in the direction of the curb you are parked on so that your car does not roll down the hill. That is in the book. |

Hello, I'm taking the road test. I find it impossible for me to make an appointment online. I tried through that little calendar, but it keeps saying they can not give me a test date even though that day is open. Also other question is a car with ny or new Hampshire plates allowed? To take the test? |

you need an e-brake that can be pulled from the passenger seat. so that car is out. |
